It’s 9:30 AM and I’m already about three decibels away from turning into a full-blown velociraptor. 🦖
Enter: The Behavior Chart. Aka, my sanity saver. Aka, “the chart of consequences and miracles.”
My twins are spicy little creatures with a flair for chaos and a deep commitment to testing boundaries before I’ve even had breakfast. So we made this chart—bright, colorful, and taped to a beam like our day depends on it (because it does).
✨ “Outstanding” at the top.
🚨 “Lose Privileges” at the bottom.
🎯 And a whole lotta room in between to start fresh or… spiral.
Each kiddo has a clothespin with their name. They move up for awesome behavior, kindness, listening, helping, and all the things that make a momma heart sing. And they move down when choices start looking a little… feral.
But here’s the beauty:
This chart isn’t just for tracking behavior—it’s a visual reset button. For them and for me.
Because sometimes they need a reminder that their day isn’t ruined just because we had a rough morning.
And sometimes I need a reminder not to let one tantrum derail the whole train.
So here we are.
Clothespins clipped.
Boundaries in place.
Coffee reheating for the third time.
And you know what? We just might make it to lunch. Maybe even with our privileges intact. 😉
